Spiced Holiday Nuts

 Tis the season for SPICED EVERYTHING! After making these at work, I tried them just to see what we were selling and was instantly obsessed. It is so hard to keep this snack out of your mouth! These nuts are incredible on their own or tossed onto a salad.

Ingredients:

•4 cups your choice of nuts (ex. 1 cup walnuts, 1 cup pecans, 2 cup almonds)
•2 egg whites
•1/4 cup sugar
•1 tsp salt
•1 tsp cayenne pepper
•1/2 tsp chili pepper
​•1/4 tsp allspice
•1/4 tsp cumin
•1/4 tsp black pepper

Directions:

1. Mix nuts in a bowl. In a separate small bowl, whisk egg whites. Then mix in with nuts.
2. In a third bowl, combine sugar, salt, and spices. Mix well so spices are evenly distributed in mixture.
3. Combine sugar mixture with nuts until well coated. Then spread on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper and roast in the oven at 325 for 15-20 min.

And enjoy! Feel free to experiment with the different spices as everyone has their own preferences.
